Overview
The WLCI Fashion School is a premier fashion institute in the
country. It imparts professional training in the field of Fashion
Technology through various programmes for those of you who aspire to
enter the Apparel Industry. These programmes prepare you for job
opportunities in buying houses, export houses, garment manufacturing
companies and the merchandising, retail, designing and client servicing
sectors.
You learn an entire gamut of skills required in the Apparel industry. These include illustration, design process, product development, trend forecast, pattern making, draping, surface ornamentation techniques and garment construction. You learn to conceptualize and produce a wide range of fashion products, including women’s wear, menswear and kidswear and design accessories to complement them.
You are provided with extensive practical experience through live projects that integrate theory and practice. You learn to solve design related problems and work around production and market constraints.
The programmes help you create an impressive portfolio of work that meets industry standards.
At the end of your programme, your final design collection is showcased in a highly publicized Fashion Show. During the programme, we provide you with Traineeships to give you hands-on experience in the Industry. This gives you a critical advantage over your peers and puts your career on a fast track.

up career paths in the Fashion Industry. You will be provided with
industry-specific knowledge and professional and technical skills
required in the Fashion Industry. Our programmes give you a unique
traineeship opportunity with leading fashion designers, production and
buying houses which gives you a professional edge over your peers.
On successful completion of WLCI’s Fashion Designing Programmes, you can choose from a wide spectrum of careers. In the field of Fashion Technology, you would gain competencies to work as a Fashion/Costume Designer, Concept Designer, Product Developer, Fashion Illustrator, Fashion Forecaster, and Fashion Advisor. Some of our alumni have launched their own design labels. In the area of Fashion Marketing you, would be competent to perform functions of a Quality Controller, Visual/Retail Merchandiser, Production Manager, Retail Store Manager and Sourcing Specialist.
The professional programmes in Fashion Technology give you an understanding of all aspects of the fashion industry, including design, production and retailing of fashion products. Every module of WLCI Fashion Designing Programs is designed to give you the necessary professional skills to work in the Fashion industry and excel in it. There is a strong emphasis on design process, fashion illustration, trend forecasting, textile and surface ornamentation techniques, pattern making, garment construction, draping and production techniques including computer application in Fashion production.
To apply, please obtain an application form from any of our campuses. It can also be downloaded from our website. The completed application form is to be deposited in person or sent by post/courier to your preferred campus.
On receipt of your completed application form, our Academic Advisors will schedule your Admission Test. Your test date will be informed to you by email and over the phone.

The Admission Process is a three tier process comprising of the WLC Admission Test (WAT), Interview and Post Interview Counselling.To apply, please obtain an application form from any of our campuses.
