Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology

 

Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology (ACCET-Karaikudi) is an autonomous (with effect from 2009) college of engineering in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India. Established in 1952, it is under the control of the government of the State. The college is a member institute under the TEQIP - Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme in India (11 colleges were selected from Tamil Nadu).

The Government College of Engineering, Salem in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India, is an engineering education center in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the three institutions offering Metallurgical Engineering as a full time course in Tamil Nadu.
GCE-Salem was started during the Third Plan period in 1966 and is located on a beautiful site surrounded by hills. Its area is 1.62 square kilometres (400 acres). This is the third government engineering institution formed in Tamil Nadu. The first batch of students was selected for 1966 for courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. In 1973 the metallurgical engineering branch was started. The Electronics Engineering and Communication Engineering branch was introduced in 1985. Computer science and engineering was started in 2001. All the undergraduate courses except Computer Science and Engineering are accredited by NBA.






Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli

 

Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli, is a state owned Engineering Institute located in the town of Tirunelveli in the state of Tamil Nadu. Tirunelveli is often referred as the 'Oxford of south India' due to the large number of educational institutions present. It is a constituent college of Anna University of Technology Tirunelveli and is a DOTE approved educational institution in Tamil Nadu. It was established in the year 1981. The college is spread on an area of 23 hectares.[1] The institution offers five undergraduate and three postgraduate programmes. The curriculum has been structured by Anna

The Government College of Technology, Coimbatore (GCT) is an autonomous state-funded engineering college located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It is a constituent college of Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore.

 

 

Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology

 

The Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology (TPGIT) (Tamil: தந்தை பெரியார் அரசு பொறியியற் கல்லூரி) in Bagayam, Vellore was established in July 1990 and is one of the six Government Engineering colleges fully governed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) of the Government of Tamil Nadu. It belongs to Zone 5 and also Zonal Office for Zone 5 Colleges of Anna University[2]a.
The institute is equipped with a laboratory, computer facilities and the students are trained by staff members.
It ranks 44 among 454 colleges affiliated to Anna University. Alumni have made their mark in academics and extra curricular activities.[3]
The institute is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
